I believe there is something extra stamped on the coins, These are 5 different coins pictured. I have 10 so far. Could be a die chip or deterioration? Anyone?

Check 012 to see if your coin matches. I don't think your coin is a DDO,looks like a die gouge. I have seen many like your coin and it turns out to be nothing collecable.Another good resource besides CC's site is Lincoln Cent Resource.

Here's the best picture I could get, It's the last in these pics. I don't think this is 012. Here are more pictures of LIBERTY. They are weird indeed and all basically the same.

Have you checked all the markers for the 011? The "LIB" looks to match the CC photo, if the NE-SW die scratches I can see near the rim below "LIBERTY" in your picture indeed extend northward (your photo is a little darkish) next to the "L" as in the CC photo.

How about images of "IN" & "GOD". That would show if it is master die doubling?

I can see some microscopic die scratches. They are not the same as 011. No matter where I could see them, they all seemed to travel from the rim towards the center of the coin. And they are the same on every coin. More photos coming of the IN and God.

Sadly, based on the last photos, I'm guessing it is Master Die doubling... I have notated, on your photos, what I have learned are the PUP's (pick up points) for the 1972 MDD. I'd wait for the pro's though.
