How about this? All my coin is customer-rolled, but my bank delivers to me in bags!
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors... Roll hunting since '77 Dirt fishing since '72

I have asked one bank for rolls, they had none, I will be asking the next bank for rolls when I've swapped the ones I am going through now. I want a roll of each denomination x2 for my two sons and I want a few rolls to hunt, just so I can still call it roll hunting and not bag hunting!!

Unfortunately boxes. There is only one coin counter in the area, it's really hard for me to request bags off of it, when I am the one who is filling a lot of those bags :)

Has anyone found it easier to get the bags from coin machines from supermarkets? I have yet to ask my Publix, but I plan on it.

I get coins from a few local shops, some keepers even save me the ones I look for! you have to ask, the worst you might get is a sour no.

I'm from new York , way back when, you were able to buy bags from the banks. as a matter of fact I collect bank bags of different denominations and years. but now it's only rolls and boxes from banks.

Definitely boxes from my bank wouldn't want to really buy a bag since I fill it up a lot.
Atleast with a box I know the nickels went to a central location in the Westside Downtown Indianapolis and I get a wider pool to hunt from. In a bag I just get my bank. In a box I get all the banks and coin machines in the region. I'm sure I get back some of my coins but not in any percentage that affect my finds.

we have a few different banks here in nz but the coins probably all go to the same place to be weighed and re-rolled / bagged. even still tho, I get bags / rolls from one or two banks and always deposit the rejects into my account at a bank I have never asked for rolls or bags. like said above I fill those bags!

In NZ we get new coins rolled from the Canadian mint for 10,20 and 50 cent coins and once they have gone into circulation they get re-rolled by security companies. The $1 and $2 coins come in bags of 1000 from The Royal Mint and often get rolled by security companies before getting delivered to the banks. Banks can order them in loose bags but as customers dont want them like that almost all banks order them pre rolled (I know I do when ordering). This can make it harder to make sure that all the coins in a roll are the same year but around public holidays especially Christmas banks get the odd bag of newly rolled $1 the $2 coins are hard to get hold of new. Unlike some countries you can not order rolls of coins direct from the reserve bank so you have to be lucky enough to find them in your local branch. IF you get to know the staff they may be able to help you out a bit.

I'm in Ohio and I've been to several different banks, and they will only offer me rolls.

My wife used to work at a branch of a local bank and luckily they will still sell me bags off the coin counter. At times I wish I could buy half bags as a full bag takes me a while to cash in, but I consider myself lucky just to be able to get bags.

Almost entirely bags. I rarely have the time to do more bags than I can get my hands on. I used to supplement with boxes occasionally

Most of the banks I go to are nice about letting me get boxes of pennies. One particular bank chain always seems to get annoyed when I ask for pennies though. "We can't be giving away our pennies." I'm thinking of closing my account there as I am a customer and feel I have a right to pick up $25 worth of pennies, it's not that ridiculous of a request. I have never asked for more than a box and I've only went in a few times. Luckily I have never left empty handed but I always get a negative vibe when I ask for change there..
