Thanks for the added 84's and comments but my 84 is soooo far from BU... ...and thanks for adding your 2 here kuh_85. Greatly appreciated.. I'm wondering if all of the fars were from one die set,... and the same thing for the nears. We'd have to scope each of them and see if everything (like re-punching) matches up.

You're welcome. Would be hard to tell as a lot of those details are gone by the time the coin gets down to F grades though.

Thanks viper..!! ..nicer toning when compared to mine.
If it is truly an accurate grade of XF45, then the price is right. The 1884's seem to be as tough to find .."in XF or better" ...than the also very pricey and elusive 21.
JeyRey2000...Is there any way for us to see that PCGS XF 45 and then do a comparison to what's showing here?

Good stuff....Looking forward to that possible comparison.
Good to see some of the 84's that we did get to see here,... and more would be even better.

If you had been at the Toronto Coin Expo, you could have seen a couple of 1884 5c beauties offered at the Sherwood Park Pennies booth by nickelsguy.
These were his extras, so they can't be that hard to find. I wasn't even trying. :)

Some times it's tough or physically impossible to make the long haul to get there... It would be nice to see some of these great rarities posted here by the experts that are so often commenting here. We can hope one day to see them in these forums ..or maybe even links to them ,.. ....or maybe something like bosox does for us......

All of my best are in hard holders. As I only use a scanner that eliminates any chance of images. Sorry
