Now if it was my pic...I would have got rid of all of that posted clear plastic.....and just posted a 'honking big pic' of the coin alone.

My guess is MS 64 "Partial Plating" or "Incomplete Plating" or something to the effect of addressing the colour variation.

Who knows..? Were there bad mixes of metal (zinc/copper etc.) in the prepared strips? Time for the copper experts to fill us in...

I'm with DEVLEC, MSsomething,magnetic, with a comment about the plating,
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Looks fully plated to me. It is just toned ugly, the rim is also toned brown.

it looks like a bluish blackish purple. No brown the pictures are crappy because I used my iPhone. SSP if its toned why wouldn't there be a comment? looks much better in hand

It does have a comment, regarding the toning - that is the "Brown" in "Red & Brown"

Looks hugely stained to me. Almost looks like a chemical splash ..."in the supplied photos."

You almost never see that,..so some comment would be in order,.. I would have guessed. ..but now that you've just mentioned that the supplied colour pic is all wrong...
