Not really sure. Mostly it appears to still be in the plastic holder. If so, many of the marks may be on the plastic.

I just looked at the slab for scratches in the coin view area, and there are none, surprisingly since it is an older slab...which I will post a little later tonight, after the customary 24 hours.

Is there something going on above the mint mark?

I'm going with ms62 possible 60 over 60 date. Can't get a real good look at that zero though.

You guys were almost there on this one, and I probably would have given a similar response. One thing that I did learn about this variety is that those are die scratches behind Lincoln's head and is a characteristic identifier. Thanks for playing along!

If those are die marks behind his head then I could see this coin being a 65RD easy.

OK, knowing those are die marks, I can live with a 64 on that coin. Thanks for the learning opportunity sir.

I think it should have gone 65, they didn't like those obverse field hits I guess. Sure is a beautiful example of this variety.

Wow, I was at 61/62 all day until you posted a new pic (understood this was from 2013). Those hits in the obverse field and the rim dings on the obverse are the only things I see. But at the end of the day, I think the obverse field hits kept it from a 65. WAY COOL coin though none the less. I ALWAYS enjoy seing your coins. I may not comment on them but my default reaction to seeing one of your grading posts is, 'Oh cool, another ohih82w8 high quality coin...' thanks for posting!
