The U.S. Mint's official name for a penny is "cent" and the U.S. Treasury's official name is "one cent piece". The colloquial term penny derives from the British coin of the same name, the pre-decimal version of which had a similar value. In American English, pennies is the plural form.

The plural of Cent is simply Cents.

Just saying, if you are gonna copy and paste at least sight the source.

By the way, those wings look a lot like the enlisted man's badge for the U.S. Air Force senior aircrew. If memory serves me, that is. I was in the Army so I could be wrong.
