There would be some premium... but it certainly does diminish given the condition of the note.... if you do end up putting up on the bay.. please let us know what it goes for...

I am uncertain as to what you mean... "decreasing the note while increasing the premium"

This is considered a repeater note, Not much of a premium added for the serial number.

Yes, that ones a repeater and will have some sort of premium. I would still keep it though. I can't tell if there's any folds, but here are the prices CoinsAndCanada would give the note. AU -$18, Unc -$40, CUnc -$45. If that one has no folds it could grade at least Unc.

I also like how the serial letters form a real word - should add a few dollars to the value!

That would be considered "Pressing" the note. Which is something you shouldn't do.
It's the equivalent of cleaning a coin.

I'm really not sure if anyone would recognize a 6 digit repeater...
The fact that it's a 2 digit SN may hold a small premium... but I wouldn't consider that $10 note a repeater

Sorry misunderstood ya for a second... you can try to press it... there are three types of presses... a wet press... a heat press... and a dry press
I would recommend a dry press.... place said note in the middle of the pages of a really thick book. Then stack some heavy things on top of the book and leave it for 2 -3 years. This works well with paper notes and you can usually improve by 1/2 grade... With poly's I'm totally unsure... I have a few 50's RADARs and SNR's that I am pressing but I don't know how the poly paper will remain intact ... my hopes are not as high.

@ nala: If you like words in serials, you should check out Canadian $5 and $10 also. You can find APE, APT, HAD, FEE... At one point I thought of collecting just all the words with radars and keeping the finest examples, so there are quite a few out there to make it fun. Collecting currency, though, gets expensive.
