Bottom left ye-olde - its a ptolemy style one.

Thats a nice macedonian helmet. I prefer the thunderbolt design, personally. I do have a trick which could nab you one on the cheap (its how I got mine) but I wont post it here. PM me.

As for the eagle, that style is pretty readily available for cheap if you shop about the smaller Ptolemy coins.

Coin at top right has alot of dirt on it still and will clean up much much better than this........., but I'd bid just for the top middle.... the coin top middle will clean further to an exceptional grade!! The others arent too good though, but the eagle reverse is acceptable. IMO of course

I am just about to form a collection of affordable Greek provincial bronzes......cannot wait!, they are so pleasing to the eye, but like you I wont spend a fortune.....
I know ebay will be flooded with them soon, a little bird tells me.... so bide your time.....

Hang your head in shame!, nice one........sometimes these things happen. Beautiful coins in there. I'd love to get two of them under my binocular microscope and get the wooden picks out for a few hours. How uncontrollable was your clicking?

Oh, yay! Nice lot. Love love love the Macedonian shield. Don't think I've seen a nicer one!

I had an itchy bidding finger today too and got another large mixed lot

Laaaaaaarge mixed lot. Greek and Roman, mostly bronze. No photo, minimal description, another shot in the dark but those have worked out well so far.

Should keep me busy for a while. There will likely be a ton of them I don't want to keep too.

Very nice selection of Macedonian bronzes. I think you did very well. I like the Athena/Pan Erecting Trophy too (Antigonos Gonatas).

Heck just that and the thunderbolt shield coin together could probably be sold for what you paid.

I would be in it for the Macedon shield and Helmet coin. Everything else I could take or leave it but the Macedon is exceptional.
