Obverse looks real nice, like a potential 65, but I'm not sure what's going on with the reverse..

What's that between the E and PLURIBUS?

My guess we'll be 63, but 64 won't surprise me.

NGC MS63 ... although I want to know what is going on with the aforementioned reverse issue at 10:00.

That reverse is odd at about 10:00 as someone said earlier. I think it might be a 64+.

These are really hard to grade because 1) the relief on these coins is so low they lose the details in the design so easily, and 2) these coins are known for having weak strikes. So what the luster suggests would be a MS-63 might end up being an AU-58 because of strike quality.

Based on the images a bit too small for certainty, I'm thinking this grade to be more than fair. Reverse-limited, I think. The coin looks pretty well-struck. You'll likely find that patch on the reverse to be less prominent in-hand; keep in mind NGC is not going to blithely wave a $700 coin through the system without questioning such a detail. I've seen similar on Peace dollars before, and consider it an artifact of planchet & die preparation.

At least a 64 as I've seen pcgs and NGC 64s that dont look this nice. But whats with the reverse? Is it like a planchet or weak strike or ? Still a nice coin!

Nice coin should hit 64 as long as that is some kind of strike thru.
Feel free to call me Will.
