I'm in at AU53. 1921 is a difficult year to attribute regardless of mint and I am definitely not experienced with this date/mint mark. Hopefully something jumps out at SsuperDdave...

This one's in the AU55 range. I'd sure like to see what that is intersecting the O in ONE. Is that a radial die crack going from the point of the bust to the rim?

Thanks Ssuperdave and also I will take a look at it and if it's not a scratch or PMD I will shoot a close up so you can see it better.

Thanks for the response and the > "" ...Panzaldi as well as coincollector2012 and joseph.

Thank you. I'm guessing it's PMD, as I know of no such feature on a 1921-D, but there's always a chance.

The value is not inhibited either way, as this isn't really a "premium over bullion" kind of coin, aside the minor premium anything that says "Morgan" on it gets.

Much appreciated. I still get a lump in my throat every time I see something on a 1921 which doesn't belong there.
