Interesting how many of the notes shown are either
1. Hispanic inflation notes with some guy with sideburns or a Happy Jose style moustache 2. German inflation notes from 1923 3. Poorly printed WW2 siege, Japanese and change notes 4. Russian and sovietastan Eastern European worthless rublenik type stuff you can buy in packs of like 50 for $20 and its like one rublenik of Belarus or something.
I have none of these as I don't collect anything but beauty. I find this thread hilarious though

Here's a potentially valuable note I considered buying at auction, but the repair cost came out too prohibitive.

Probably an investment best left to the more ambitious collector.

My latest 'ugly' note. It's scarce so I went for it (I won the auction for around $25). Too much probably! But I'm fascinated by Chinese notes. I should probably identify its remains: Commercial Bank of China (Shanghai) $1 of 1929. The indistinct figure standing at the right is the stellar deity of prosperity Lu Xing. It joins my other ugly note of this bank which I think I posted on this topic a few years ago (far worse than this but I only paid a dollar for that)
