I would love to be able to get $1,000 bags of Ikes at face to search but have yet to be able to find a source willing to provide them to me

You WILL find the way to get them at face, or cheap.

Domain555....I am really trying to learn here. You say roll the Ikes at a 45 degree angle? I have tried to replicate what you described but I can't see how to roll 15-20 coins at a 45 angle at the same time. Can you post some pics of your better railroad coins? Pictures will help me understand what you are describing a lot for me. I have a pretty big stash of Ikes in my safety deposit box and would like to go through them looking for what you describe

Domain555, Could you just give me a quick Type I, II, III detail or a link to it to explain what the differences are? Is it only for 1972? Thanks

Wish could share a link
...oh
You can just GOOGLE 1972 Eisenhower dollar type 2
or Type 1
Or type 3

that should do it.

You need good eyes and a good SPY GLASS to see
In main the Type 1 has the islands off to the right
the type 3 is islands more off to the left.

Now it gets tricky
Type 2 is a mess ... hard to see ... the islands just "sank"

That is about all I know.

Best I found

Thanks, I just knew it was the islands and never had really gotten it. I'm kind of new, especially to Ikes. I just try to get them from work (a credit union) when I work there. I get a couple but haven't been focusing per say on them.

WISH WISH WISH ... I could POST a PICTURE
Tried 4 times, FAILURE<=======================

Forget 15 coins
get 7-9
put em on a flat table holding them like they were still in a ROLL.
Then just ROLL, looking straight down at them.

Roll to the right about 360 degrees (ONE FULL TURN)
Then roll back,
Then TILT forward about 30-45 degrees and repeat.
Then TILT backwards and repeat.

If you have one IT WILL SCREAM at you

===============HEAR I AM<===========

The deeper the damage is what you want to see, obviously.

That is why I think many sweet hearts were thrown into the BYE-BYE bucket.
Many called them freaks. For the MS+ collectors it is not too pretty.

The best I have seen on ebay is usually between $1,200 and $1,250 for a bag of 1000 Ikes

The ebay fee, paypal fee, shipping cost, signature cost,
insurance fee, work & ability of acquiring the bag etc ....

Makes it (about) a brake even deal for the seller at $1,200.
The $1,200 sellers are just unloading stock for (what ever) reason?
The $1,300 -- $1,350 sellers Do net a fast $100+

And yes ... no way would I pay $1,200

One reason I want to be in the CCF is to be able to TRADE stuff,
and lower the juicy between buyers and sellers.

Well it is search manipulation and if I see any toned coin with error in the title that is not an error I will report it immediately and it WILL be removed.

Nothing on ebay infuriates me more than browsing my searches and wading through crap that doesn't belong there.

I really believe you will back up your convictions.
At this time, I will check to see if I have any ebay coin listed, that might be in conflict.
Thanks for the heads up.
Now ... wasn't that simple?

Guess it wasn't to be that coin buyers will not be able to see a different choice.
Then again ... maybe they are already searching for TONE in their searches?

PawnS

May I please ask if you have any interest in tone coins?
May I please ask what is the area of your coin collections?

Thanks

Domain555 Thats what I thought! That was a great picture. I'll just have to get my hands on more Ikes. And since you seem to get/have enough it sounds like, maybe if my posts are up we could work something out. Just trying to learn more for now!

Crazy that on the Type II that the Islands just "sink" or disappear. Thanks!
