yes sometimes you want someone else to win just to make it more interesting next time around,,saying that it really bothers me how professional athletes look down on bronze and silver it is a life experience that only we can only dream about it.my vote is get ready of these cry babies and use amateur hockey players only ,they can stay and play in their leagues, give others a chance to play ...........
congrats-o-train,you can email me your add.................cheers

Quote: saying that it really bothers me how professional athletes look down on bronze and silver i I think it only applies to north America. The finns freak out winning bronze,be sure Sweden loved winning the silver .

Yeah I agree with that. Sweden made a great tournament but they lost the final 3-0 so silver was right for them. When you lose 1-0 or 3-2 I can understand that you feel sad like you were close but 3-0 means the other team was superior and the players who lost should accept this fact.

To be honest I enjoyed watching the girls gold metal game then the men's.

I think North Americans want gold so bad is because they were both in the Gold game in '10, so they hold themselves to those expectations and nothing besides winning gold is accepted to them. Just a guess.

I had hoped for a tight game but wasn't. While I'm glad Canada won I would prefer to see players not tainted by the money already have a chance to play. Out of all our players only one didn't play in the NHL. That's sad since I know how political the game can be. Having said that, a lot of other teams also had NHL superstars. Nice to see both hockey golds in Canada but there were 25 medals won by Canada so congrats to all who competed and made us proud.
