I like sharing information at all. But in my oppinion, it is not too much, even to comment on it, if someone did spent a few minutes for helping me.
Even when I am online the next days. Just saw that you never do this... even no thanks or so... my mistake, will not happen again. Maybe some one can delete my posts from this topic? I don´t like helping such freeloaders

Oh sorry - it was a hard night-shift for me and it would have been better first going to sleep than writing.
but I was a bit annoyed at this. Don´t know this from our german/austrian forums. I dont damand any "praise", it is only the minimum of common courtesy.

It appears that there could be a few possible candidates for which the Nussbaum reference could pertain. It is really too bad that NGC couldn't be more specific with their pedigree notation on their older slabs particularly if the collection isn't as well known as for example Newman or Green or Reiver or Eliasberg. The least the TPGs could do would be to have a web page with short backgrounds on the pedigrees they will slab. Thanks for the info.

back to topic: I think it is really meant the "Harold J. Nussbaum Collection". There are coiins slabbed, dated after the death of the other two Nussbaums, I discribed.

I knew that! Just wanted to make sure you knew some of us appreciated you answers to the puzzle. I also get the hard days' night reference as well, I work weird hours, my hobbies (collecting and researching coins and doing astrophotography) have weird long hours too.

Thanks for the information, you were able to dig up I found it interesting, I had no idea that Hans was the grandson of a prominent dealer. What little info I was able to find (and I wasn't even sure I had the right guy) was mostly in German and I wasn't going to use Google translate to go over the dozens of pages the search results brought up.

I put in an email to NGC about this provenance of the Nussbaum reference and will post what answer I receive from them.

So NGC let's you put something on the slab if you request it? I didn't realize that. PCGS appears to have certain restrictions on pedigree usually involving their registry top 5 and holding a spot for a number of years. Is paying to have your name on the slab the norm for the industry otherwise?
