CoinCollector2012 This shipment below will have me 2 holes away from having the 65-98 part complete. This shipment will have the 95, 96, and 97 S Silver proofs in it. I have the 94 and 98 on their way. WOOT! Next up is my 1950 S. Once that's in I'm complete from 1950-1998.

Awesome set, one day I might start this, but I want to finish my Franklin halves first.

Very nice set so far. I am building a Washington set as well. It can be challenging at times. Good luck and great set !

That's a sick set. You should PM me often as I've gone down the same road and still am! The best buy for the money right now are those clads. You can buy raw 65+ coins for a dollar @ shows and B&M's still but that's NOT going to last. Focus on that if you still have the time! The silver stuff is going to remain relatively constant. Dave sells very accurately graded coins btw. You're not going to ever "underpay" with him but you'll never get a dog for the grade or undergrade... ever. All things equal, you almost always get what you pay for in this series.

AWESOME! first off let me say very cool book!! Mine just got in the mail today. Ill start filling the holes.when I get home. As far as the type b I felt the same way and I ended up collecting them all and ironically bought a 1960 mint set the other day and acquired yet another type b, A really fun quarter to hunt for is the 1964 D with the reverse of 1965. Thats a scarce find!! Congrats and way to go very awesome book!! I just completed my 1950-2014 proof quarters with the landing of my 1950 proof I dont have all the clad proofs from 1992-2014 but there silver proof cousins have the seniority.

WashQuartJesse - You're right on the clads. I figured that out early on...and bought all the clads at once. I got most of them from Dave and if I remember correct he gave me a break on shipping or something like that which let me get them for even a little less. Unfortunately where I'm at there is not a really good B&M, at least one that has a good focus on numismatics...there's tons of pawn shops, and "we buy gold" shops that may have the occasional good find in their case. Just a couple weeks ago I scored some nice 62 and 63 proofs at an antique mall here in town. Rupster - yes, I've been keepin' an eye out for that 64s with the 65 reverse...I'll prolly look something like this when I find one Glad you two enjoyed the album...i know I do

Nice going so far. You might want to go to a bank and buy a lot of Quarters. Never can tell, might find lots more to fill holes. Your set looks like your going for really high grades. That will get tuff on the early ones. I have several sets of those but mine are all in Whitman Classic Albums. I like the Blue color better. Shows off Silver coins better than a Dansco. Keep up the good work and show us the completed set soon.

I remember this thread... Since I have last commented here, my set is complete from 1964 to 1998. Now I need to work on the silver issues.

phankins11, I don't want to jump in here and hijack your thread without your permission. I'm thrilled I found this/your thread because I'm working on (and almost completed) the same Dansco 8140 but it's 32 through 80 w/proofs. Since most of the guys responding here are interested in Washington quarters, can I post my set here for input and opinions? Hmmm, I just noticed this thread is over 3 years old. I guess most of you guys are still here... Your thoughts? Thanks!

I recommend starting a new thread for your own set in case phankins posts any updates for his. Those of us who are interested in Washingtons would definitely check it out and be happy to answer any questions
