As Haiti is a French speaking country
'Gourdes' is one syllable.
A cross between English gourd and the Dutch cheese Gouda
will help with the pronunciation.
'u' as in glue.
=>> gurd.
Keep using a dark background for display and your next video will be even better.
Thanks.

I love the fact that your collection is so eclectic! How do you plan on expanding it; do you see yourself narrowing your focus a bit? Either way, I look forward to your future posts.

@coinskelly thanks very much, but currently I am exploring my options and basically picking up any gold coin I like until I find a type of coin or group I would like to collect specifically.

Stay eclectic until the time comes when you say yourself,
"I want to start collecting THESE."
Gold is gold is gold so eclectic is not bad.
Enjoyed the video. Just slow down a bit.
Awaiting video 2!

@mattewvincent

Thank you very much hehe.

I think I'm deciding between collecting 19th Century French gold or british sovereigns. I think it is between these two. I will make video 2, but the thing is it might not come too soon because ill make a new video for about every 3-5 gold coins I get which is usually about 2 months.

Ivan, what I like about your collection is that it has a lot of variety......meaning its not boring and only has the same things like gold eagles, etc. You have a lot of variety that its fun to stare at! I used to be like you until I became boring and only got a certain type. I hope to change my mindset and be like you and get variety again!

Do you have a silver collection? If so, lets see it!!

@mkman123

Thank you very much :)

And yes I do have silver but it is not a very strong collection anymore because I traded a sum of it for some gold and I have a video that I will post soon of my oldest silver coins :).

Very nice collection for someone who has been collecting for only 6 months!

Also very good timing after the big drop in prices in early 2013.

I'd suggest TPG slabbed coins if you decide to collect larger/higher grade pieces. Check out Saint Gaudens Double Eagles, they are expensive but beautiful.

@joe2007

Thank you, and I sure will check out the double eagle, once I have the chance to afford it :p
