ANY possibility this hoard might drive the price of circulated coin prices DOWN?

Not really. A million circulated coins is a drop in the bucket in the marketplace. And I seriously doubt there will be a lot of key or semi-key pieces in the group, and those that are will probably be well circulated. I bet a bunch of this stuff is little better than bulk silver.

A PCGS holder labeled ""Stack's 57th Street Hoard" will add "value" to a circulated 1909-VDB cent as long as it stays in the holder.

Trust me, these things WILL eventually show up on late night TV so have your credit card ready!

WOW Just saw the ad in this latest Numismatist showing those same coins! Came here to post about them, saw it was already covered by ExoGuy (Thanks I had missed it). Sure are some real lookers so far!

If this is a sampling of the collection, we may be seeing some exciting stuff!

Wow. I am amazed at the quality and the beauty of those Morgans! If there's 30 tons of coins, those Morgans must not be the only ones that are high-grade, toned beauties and rarities! At first, before seeing the small sampling of the hoard, I was thinking of 30 tons of bagmarked, circulated coins and a minor amount of beauties.......but this is actually much bigger than I thought!
MS-68 Morgans, MS-67+* Morgans coming to the market? Sounds lovely, although my pockets aren't deep enough to buy 'em!

This is going to hammer some market niches. Worse, we don't know which ones yet.

Interesting. This might crush some of the market.
