You're missing the point if you think it's about English skills, grammar or spelling. It's about a seller blatantly lying to make a quick buck. I found it all quite amusing. If someone was to buy this coin they would end up quite dissapointed. The sellers responses are quite humorous and the sales tactics are appalling. Would you be happy if you purchased this coin based on the description provided? He makes out their are only 2 or 3 in existence a mintage of 200 with all but a handful destroyed. The seller has straight away resorted to insults and is clueless. I added some not all of the correspondence as some people may find it humourous like I have.

The owner of this coin is in no danger of selling it unless he buys it himself. It looks as though it's been cleaned with steel wool.

wow I trawled through his feed back. A faker account I could not find. for instance he has someone who uses the same broken "engwish" grammar and has 30 feed back themselves has left well over 30 feedback for him. this guy is a plain fraudster, ebay needs to shut this guy down

Quote: It's about a seller blatantly lying to make a quick buck. That's ebay for you. I bet I can find 50 more examples within the hour probably. Report them if applicable if not just hope some newbie doesn't get burned bad. Personally I am a lot more worried about someone who is happy when they receive the coin. it will be a while down the road they realize they got had and the guy is gone with their money. if they realize as soon as they get it they can still do something about it. I once had a guy who obviously didn't have a coin as it was listed by another seller tell me over and over it wasn't the same coin even though the slab number was identical. Normally I don't interact with them but I figured what the heck and who knows its in theory possible he really did have the coin and the other guy forgot to take it down off ebay after selling it to the guy on another venue. after that was ruled out he was reported and that is all she wrote.

A genuine Proof Canberra florin Does have raised lines in the fields due to the die being touched up with a wire brush. The sellers coin however has the lines going in the wrong angle on the coin and the lines continue into the design. This IS a DELIBERATE attempt to defraud using PMD to try and emulate a Genuine Proof Canberra florin.

Has the coin been removed yet? It has been wrongly described.

One of the members on here has a signature that sums this up ''don't argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience''. Another funny one I think it's also Mark Twain ''Never argue with a fool, onlookers may not be able to tell the difference''.
I'm not taking a dig at you, but I'd advise to not engage people like this who are the original wind up merchants. I had one who threatened to use my address and come to my family home, usually you can tell alot about these types of people just by the words they use and the pattern of thought they possess. Be the bigger man just report it and don't rise to these people, they're not worth it mate.

Guys it makes me scared to buy a coin of ebay, I seem very hesitant since my bad experience and now this , wow 10,000 dollar fake , that has just got to be against the law even if they don't know its a fake its still 2nd degree fraud. I seen a nice gold sovereign but I read that a lot of those are fakes to on ebay. I don't know how to take all this fraudulent activity on ebay I thought it all got cleaned up. It appears not.

My baiting of him was more for my own amusement, it was better than day time television. I wasn't going to go as far as to say it wasn't a proof as I'm not an expert on telling the difference. I reported his abusive emails and ebay has said they will speak to the seller. I have just now also reported the listing for being misleading and fraudulent. Hopefully ebay does something of substance.

Item was previously available for worldwide postage including Australia now only available in the USA. At least my fellow Australians are now safe from making a huge mistake especially the new collectors.

I think PawnS is right. Your English is not to die for.
Plus, when you say baiting him did you mean no warm up, no warning, no ten paces, just show up in his mailbox at 140 decibels with guns blazing? If so, then your English is better than I thought.
