It looks like a lot of his auctions are private. I'm pretty sure he knows what he is doing. ill bet almost all them positive private item feedbacks he has is a scam of some kind, only the lesser items he sells and large bullion auctions aren't private as far as I could see other than those morgans.
I cant find the 1895 o Barber dime people have discussed. has it already been removed I take it? does anyone have a copy of the image or anything? I'd like to take a look at it. I wonder if they used the correct reverse or used a type 2.

It looks like everything has been removed except the $5 gold. My apologies that I did not include the image of the dime when I first mentioned it. I will try to remember next time......

it's all good, no apologies needed my friend. I'm just happy that they've all been taken care of other than the gold $5.

Unfortunately, I think this guy knew what he was selling and probably bought them as known counterfeit coins. When ALL of the listings are of cheap knock-offs, the seller loses the benefit of the doubt. Thanks for helping me get them reported. I sent him a note yesterday before I reported him, and I never heard back.

Might the initial bid on the dime be that of a shill; this, to lend an air of credibility to the item? Just a thought. It surprises me that ebay gave this 1895-O a pass, given all the others that were concurrently removed.

The dime appears fake at least to me.

The leaf under the S of States appears pointed and close which would indicate Obverse 2 in use from 1900-16.

Obverse 1 the leaf under the S of States is more rounded and distant. It was used from 1892 to 1900.

Granted this seller's pics are slightly blurry. I would still be leery of this coin.

It's weird I couldn't find the Barber dime last night if it was still up. thanks for the link
The coin needs to be reported by as many people as possible. I instantly noticed the same thing as meadowview when looking at it. I have absolutely no doubt it is not real. As I thought the person who made it wouldn't do their homework enough to learn about what hubs were in use at that time and it busted them. its completely impossible to use a die in 1895 that wasn't created until 1900 5 years later after the hub change. combine that with the fact that this seller has listed many counterfeits and it's pretty much game over for it.

it was relisted it looks like it was removed for having a grade mentioned and not because it is fake. ugh.at least it doesn't have any bids this time. I reported it again. I'm willing to bet my next months rent and my entire Barber dime fund it is fake yingyang, it has a obverse that wasn't used till 1900. unless I'm mistaken about what I've learned so far but I don't think so in this case.

I bet those pictures are blurry for a reason. Still, that "O" mintmark looks rather large?
