4mile's coin is a wide date. Here's a narrow date coin.

Hi Petersun. The coin is in a PCGS holder and is graded MS-65. The marks on the obverse are on case. It is pretty banged up and the coin needs to be reholdered.
The reverse is really nicely toned. I haven't figured out how to take pictures that accurately reflect coins with toning.

1900 Narrow date The first Vicky 25ยข I bought. My pics don't show the beautiful light violet toning of this coin.

1900 Wide date. The 1900 wide and narrow date were first described over 60 years ago, yet never gained the popularity of other date varieties.

1901    I decided to post two pictures of the obverse of this coin because it amazes me just how different the same coin can look in two different photographs, and I am no photographer.
