I get that the proofs would be safer in an album, but they are basically all doubles. I have multiple 60,61,62,63 & 64 proof sets still untouched. The bicentennial sets are abundant and cheap locally and I have the silver version still in the government packaging. The only one I really am worried about is the Wheat cent. I do keep the folder sealed in a ziplock inside a tupperware container to hopefully keep them "fresh" |

I like it. Looks great. I am one coin shy ( 1916-17 Type 1 Standing Liberty quarter) of completing a similar set in a Whitman Album #9139. The differences I see are mine has holes for 5 nickels, 7 quarters, 8 halves, 7 dollars, no Sacagawea, or Birth Year coins. I think I like the coin type represented in your folder better than the ones in my album. |

Nice set. I too would suggest aquiring an Album for those. Folders are a bit on the dangerous side for coins.

The advantage to the album is seeing both sides. At the same time though the folder has the potential to add some nice toning which could increase the value especially the proofs.
Intercept shield may have something close but you might not be able to find an album for a 20th century type set. Whitman May have an album version too actually.

 Congrats! That's a nice looking collection. I don't know what album would match that folder...but I think I want one after seeing your collection. The problem with folders is that the glue holding the cardboard will leave dark stripes on your coins. Now I have to go album shopping -- if I find one that matches, I'll let you know. |

To protect the coins you may want to consider placing felt between the sections. the main problem with folders is that the coins can easily clank and scrape each other. Not a good thing. the felt would help pad the coins. And good job. Nice set! Edited by smokeriderdon
