It was a hard choice between the St.Gaudens and the draped bust dollar (Comparatively) but ended up going with the draped bust.

I chose the Draped Bust dollar. I think the time period in which these were issued is a fascinating part of history.

To me this was a no brainer, 1798 Draped Bust Dollar!

My 1798 Draped Bust dollar is the prize of my collection and is something I never plan on parting with. It is simply a beautiful piece of American coinage and history. So naturally I would go with the draped bust dollar.

I was going with either the gold eagle or draped bust but chose gold eagle since I dont own any gold coins.

I chose the gold since I am turning the focus of my collecting into that direction. The 1798 dollar was a close 2nd, any U.S. coin with a date of 17xx has great history!

If they are all around the same price the double eagle, due to it's base gold value.

Exception? you already have something similar.
The 1798 dollar would be my second choice, for the reasons mentioned by others.

A 1798 Bust Dollar would finish off my PCGS Type Set - no gold.

Oh would it? You should make a thread to show off your PCGS type set, we'd all love to see that!

It'd be hard to pass up a proof Morgan, depending on how it looks.

The 1798 Dollar would be a VERY close second. I'd have to sit them side by side to see which I'd want more.

For me it would be a hard choice between the 1798 Draped Bust and the 1923 Double Eagle but in the end I'd go for the gold.

Well, it has been almost a year since I did my 7070 Type Set thread. There have been quite a few "changes" made as well.
