Nice roll find! IMO, the scanner photo is muting the red tone (at least on my screen). Even so I think its more of a red/brown. I can't tell about luster from the scanner pics but if luster is in tact I give it MS62+ and AU without luster.

The dang scanner always has a tendency to dull the coin so you can never get a true look at it.
Looks like a MS-62RB, possibly Red in hand.

A whole roll of 1915D Lincolns.....What a great pick up!

I'd say 63 RB. Looks lovely, and what a nice buy!

It seems the scanner is hiding the luster - makes the coin look dead but I bet it isn't completely flat.

I'm no good with scanned photos myself. I THINK I see breaks in the luster on the reverse but then again, it could just be luster looking flat. If the luster is strong, then I'm with BadThad here. 64+.

BadThad - do you think he should treat that verdigris on the 'O' on the reverse with some of your potion or is this something to be letting a pro handle at a TPG? Is it even bad enough?

Thanks. The scanner takes away the red. It is deep red, with a very slight tinge of orange. I appreciate your opinions.

Would this be worth sending in? I've got vouchers for PCGS, and when you see this in person, it is beautiful red/orange... I appreciate your opinions. Thank you.

Hard to tell, my gut tells me it's pretty light. I would using a very tiny drop on it, then rinse with water - it may come right off.

I would say so. At worst case they will 63 it making it worth >$100. If you hit 64 or 65, it would be worth $300-$1000.

That's a good choice but pay the couple of extra bucks for conservation. Money WELL spent because that verdigris will bother you or other potential buyers....until someone eventually cracks it to address the issue.
