I'm not concerned about the toning; it's seen on these. Especially if it's one of the Proofs known for the date, which is what I'm leaning towards with this coin.

i'd say its most certainly a proof. that is a strongly struck coin and I do not see any wear on it. I am going PF63

The toning looks fine to me... Well, by fine I mean natural.... as well as stunning . I'm not positive in the least but I'm leaning towards a proof as well, awesome coin!

Toning like this makes it tough to tell what's a scratch and what's not a scratch!

I am not completely convinced it is a proof. I will let the seated experts chime in before I make an opinion.

Doesn't really have the look of a uncirculated coin to me. The pictures seem to show no luster. Maybe an impaired proof

That is one depressing auction. I can't afford one of those coins. LOL.

They sent another in 2013. These catalogs were hardback too. I didn't buy anything either time so I won't likely get any more, but I keep them on my bookshelf to look at from time to time. -MV

I am surprised that it was not a proof. And to only make 65 is interesting as well. Either way, that is some dime.

Me too! But if Legend has it in auction, then it's gotta be a stunning coin in hand!
