It depends on how much premium you want to pay. I bet that Engelhard bar is priced somewhere between $100 to $200 over spot. You will get alot more silver for your money on the scottsdale and Geiger bars.

OP likes the price on the Engelhard. I doubt he'd be saying that if the price was $300-$400.

The prices I normally see on it are $300+ the one I have my eye on is less, including tax its right at $275 from a pawn shop about 20 miles from me.
The next best price I can find is $330 so if the pawn shop sells it before friday ill have to re-think things, dont want to pay that much.

Well guess what, I didnt get anything on my list
Every time I make a list, it never seems to work out.

First I found a Engelhard belt buckle and had to have it
Then I found a 1oz bar, first Engelhard logo from 1980 and had to have it.
After those 2 purchases I didnt have enough left to buy any of the 10oz bars on my list so I bought 2 prospector rounds I didnt have(only just started on the Engelhard rounds)
Moral of the story, dont make lists and publish them

That's unfortunate.

Like the others I would say the Engelhard, but a silver bar is a silver bar from any known brand. If the premium is too high on the Engelhard I will take Silvertowne any day... For the most part, silver is silver for me.

I go for the cheapest possible. Monarch and NTR are great for the price. Engelhard and J&M if you´re just getting started IMO.

I recently bought my first 10 oz bar - Geiger security. It was more than I wanted to pay, but looks much nicer than the more generic bars. I don't like having random stuff, so I'll likely get 4 more and move onto something else. Englehard stuff is great, but I just can't seem to pull the trigger.

You can find Engelhard bargains if your patient, those 2 prospector rounds were $25 each and the bar $28(the bar is quite rare, first logo, no serial no ect) so not too bad.

Ever consider a 10oz silver bullet? Provident has them for about $225. http://www.providentmetals.com/10-o...ber-bmg.html

They are something different for sure.
