That book is quite the oddity with how old it is. Still, great looking start to your 7070! Can't wait to see more.

I had no idea we used to have "Turban Head" coinage.

I find that term rather strange, because on Classic Head Half Cents and large cents Liberty doesn't seem to be wearing a turban. Or a cap at all.

I can see how they labeled the Capped Bust halves as Turban Head--Liberty does seem to be wearing a Turban-like cap, which is a phrygian cap. But again the phrygian cap appears on many, many depictions of Liberty on US coins, so that makes me wonder why they gave that name specifically to the Caped Bust halves. Probably because the cap was a big part of the bust of Liberty.

This is a great idea! Will love to watch the progress as you fill your spots.

btw...I think I'm gonna start a thread for my 7070 album as well.

question: what do you plan to do with any slabbed coins that you may pick up / include in your type set?

Crack them out and put them in the album, of course.

I will put the label(s) inside the front and/or back cover.

Love the look of it, I am doing three different US type sets right now including the 7070 (some whitmans too) and I think that would be a fun one to do old 7070. I wish they would also come out with an updated 7070.
