Telling the truth, the Mint will just prefer to increase the mintage, to satisfy all collectors.
But limit as 1 coin is also helps...

They might enter to the program some law, according to which it will be illegal resell coins let's say in the first month after coin received, or illegal re-sell for more than issue price in the first months.

Once the coin is purchased by the collector, how can the RCM track if the coin was resold? Sellers don't give their real names on ebay, Kijiji, or Craiglist.

Besides, the RCM does not penalize their big dealers like Gatewest Coins who jacked up their prices 5 minutes after hot coins are sold out at the RCM.

There is already a one coin limit on some coins but it is never enforced.

People can always get around a one coin limit by opening accounts with different names, addresses, etc.

If the 2014 gold superman coin flopped, why would the 2015 version behave any differently.

Some think the retro design of the 2015 will make a difference. I think not. People got their fill of the first year issue (2013), they don't need anymore.

I think the 2013 Gold Superman set the standard and the last 2 do not come close. Just my thoughts .

Is it a flop when it is still selling for between $900 and $1000 since it came out last year?

Last time I looked, the 2014 Gold Superman coin is the only coin in 1 1/2 years to even sell above issue price. And that is out of hundreds of releases in 2014 and 2015. Not a single coin in that time period have even come close to selling above issue price consistently.

If you use the criteria that the 2014 Gold coin is a flop, then every single RCM coin is a flop (in terms of resale value).

i think the RCM may have blundered in releasing the 2015 Superman less than 9 months after the last release..Its affecting the secondary market for the 2014 coins big time...I think it would be good if they didnt have further Superman releases......I think the Superman coins may be in demand for years to come but the prices probably wont really increase for a few years because of the glut of coins released... ..looking at the 2015 silver coins I'm not that impressed at a second glance..the heat ray vision coin will be popular I think ..the gold coin is nicer than the 2014 for sure..The 2013 release was special ..now its becoming a bit much and its possible prices could drop below issue on this one.......i see that Talisman has a good deal on the gold coin..i bought from them last year and they were good. The fake issue is also quite problematic and ebay should be more vigorous in stopping sales of fake RCM coins....

I only got one complete set for my collection, I could have gotten two but I didn't want to go through the hassle of selling them.

Most of us paid some form of HST tax on this coin, exactly my point the most talked about release is barely break even.

I see the first major Canadian Dealer has jacked up the price of the gold Superman coin to $999.

That's why they appeared Out Of stock: to raise the price...

Well, the demand increased and supply drains

Thanks to the member from both forums, the 2015 Gold Superman coin posted on RFD "live picture".

Ans it looks like the best in the "gold series". The fullsized superhero engraved in 14kt gold and coloured in the classic Superman colours.
very nice.

So not surprisingly, according to the news from the other forum , GW raised a price. Slow climbs up.

I received my 2015 "Superman lifts the tank" coin ("Superman unchained").
Paid attention, that the Superman's face, hand and neck are more in blue colour , rather than skin-pink.

On the digital image, it looks like "energy reflection", and appears nice, but real coin image less attractive.
Compared with ebay real images - all the same.

So, not bad, but could've be done better.
