Solotime wrote,"Copy the image, Open "paint" Click paste, Click crop, Now use the right button on mouse, Now click invert color The dates are better now. If the image was larger you could see them better." The pic started larger, but I could not post it until it was resized. I'm struggling with how to post pics here. Sorry for my slowness.

Stop worrying about all that ... post individual photos of the coins that you personally believe are the 'best' ...
Helpful tip is that you will get more replies if you post such images in new threads for each coin.

Bonanza !! is absolutely correct. It's to bad that he didn't have some commemoratives in there too.

Love that collection - I would have also bought in a heartbeat just to have such a motley collection of old silver!

I would have grabbed those in a heartbeat (for the right price - which it sounds like you did). What a fun motley collection of old silver. Dem coins have serious character!

You could get a pretty penny for a PO-01 Morgan in a PCGS or NGC slab.

That's an awesome score! I love low ball coins, they have real history behind them when compared to uncirculated ones. Good job!

Thanks for all the kind words. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. Had I known how collectable some of these are, I would have quickly paid is original price. I've been meaning to post more pics, but work has been keeping me too busy lately.

Great Price! As everyone already said tis probably scrap or below, 100+ year old coins, and a GREAT start to your own lowball collection!

As for lowball princely pricing, check this one out: http://www.pcgscoinfacts.com/Coin/Detail/7154/2 where in 2011, the 1884-O $1 Poor 1 PCGS went for north of $500... PCGS Population (2/150569). NGC Census: (0/158557). Mintage: 9,730,000!!! which is more than MS66 money... But it gets more interesting. According to Heritage, there is an NCG PO1 with CAC sticker!
