Not too sure about grade but it looks like a High AU to a mid MS. Amazing coin!

For extreme rarities I know they are more generous with the grading. I don't know if this would apply to a key date Washington quarter though.

I'll give it an ms63.

Cant tell for sure if that is a bit of rub on Washingtons cheek, if not it looks like a 63 to me.

Hold up! I found where it sold at Heritage. And have a much better photo as a result.
I know how things scream at the camera, but I completely missed the hit on the chin!!
Anyone want to change their vote?

It may not be so bad in hand, though. I don't think either picture is appropriate for viewing the chin area.

If it is as bad as it seems to be in the second photo, I could see it in a pcgs 62 if you crossed it over from anacs, but still with a possibility at a 63 - I've seen worse in 63 holders.

Looks like a 63 to me based on the photo. The luster is quite impaired so MS62 from PCGS would not surprise me.

I am at 62. Believe there is too many small hits on the obverse. STILL a nice coin though.

I'd go with MS-63, it's a nice coin that I'd consider purchasing!

Okay, the reveal. MS62
I was hoping to buy it for 62 money and crack it. Should come back in a 63 holder. Really looks good in this pic.
Au contraire mon frere . . . . once I have studied the Heritage pic, I believe it is dead on 62. Maaaaybe 63, as the majority of people here have indicated, but I am not "feelin' it" so will let it pass.
I have obscured the serial and bar code so as not to blatantly screw up anyones sale.

Well I think ANACS was definitely spot on, but I could see it getting a 63 if you cracked it out! On the other hand, it might be best to just let it be in its holder if you do purchase it because it might be worth more to someone as a very high end 62 than a low end 63.
