Good story.

One thing most of us probably never think about is the fact that when we take coins out of circulation and add them to our collections, we are actually creating a little history.

Those coins we selected will likely remain out of circulation and will bring happiness to any number of people down through the years, simply because we elected to take them from circulation and make them collector coins.

I guess he would be pleased to know that his collection is now in the hands of someone who truly appreciates the coins and the time, effort, and care that went into assembling it.

Great story, You really have to appreciate the person being observant enough to recognize the story the collection was trying to tell and then appreciating the lifetime of work associated with it.

That was nothing short of awesome. Even the fact the the winner took the time to notice the details of the collection, writing, etc. Great way to start a day. Thank you for sharing that.

I also caught that on the other board. Did you happen to read the other half of the story...from the dealer who sold it?

A great story!

Fantastic story. Stories like this I seldom read due to my age and medical situation. Just afraid of there may not be a tomorrow so I usually avoid the subject but that was a great story. Makes me wonder where my stuff will end up. No one to leave it to.

Wonderful story--and just carl, I'd like to suggest you consider bequeathing your collection to a charity or organization that does work about which you care deeply. Just a thought.
