1971 and 1977 are the 2 years which would have the highest odds of being struck on the wrong metal (left over 40% silver) planchet.
There was a 1977 found a year or 2 ago by someone else in a box and I think they said they had a standing offer of something like $4K for it or something.
We would need pics and weight because there is also a chance it is just plated.

Yup, I was thinking wrong plachet as well. Pics and weight please. Hahaha that request almost sounds like a bad dating site request! Ok, back to coins now!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it is plated. If it was the rare 77 struck on 40% silver Planchet error it would be a D mint coin. Weigh it to confirm, if your ears are playing that much of a trick on you. Here is the thread for Hybes that found one in a cwr roll. https://goccf.com/t/75353&whichpage=1

The reeding looks plated. Sorry.... I can't tell you how many times I've been excited about what looked like a "silver" coin only to find out it was plated. Boooo.... :(

Even if its silver plated it won't pass the tissue test.

I would agree on the plated verdict.... I've seen a few of these over the years. They sure do get your hopes up for a moment or two.
