Right now I want an '07 Proof gold Buffalo, so I'm $325 short. I think I would probably pick up an old bust half.

Maybe a 1913S Barber dime (MS60) or a 1912S nickel (VF20).

I'd probably try to find an 1877 IHC or 1909 S VDB.

I know y'all are probably laughing it up over those choices but I'd like to complete a set of low grade small cents and those are the two biggies (I'm not even gonna worry about the 22 plain for this set). Pretty much anything problem free with a readable date would do for this set but I don't know if that would be possible even with $500.

Barring any success with those I'd probably go for a decent 14D Lincoln or maybe a really nice Half Cent.

Hmm.... for ~$500, I'd probably pick up a nice MS64/MS65 mintmarked 1930's Washington quarter, say a 34-d, 35-d, or 36-s. Or a semi-key XF SLQ (1919d, 1919s, 1921)

However, I also agree with the previously posted thoughts on early Lincolns -my preference would be a high grade Brown/Red-Brown.

Not that $500 dollars would do it but I'd like a VDB.

More realistically however, I think I'd go to the bank and buy a box of half dollars. The hunt in coin collecting is part of the fun for me. It's not so fun to go spend all of my practically non-existent funds on a few choice pieces...maybe one day after I make my millions...maybe then I'll get the buying bug...

I'd probably buy a nice F/VF 1803 or 1805 Draped Bust half dollar. Or I'd save up a little more and buy myself that 1802 half dollar that I still need.

I'd go for the highest grade 1928 Peace dollar I could get, if this is for investment.

Since I'm putting together a 7070, I think I could get a nice gold coin or Trade dollar for $500.

I would take the little lady out for a nice dinner, in response for her ability to put up with this old fart for more than fifty-two years! She has more than earned it! Where do I go to pick up the money?

Maybe a nice Seated dollar for my 7070 Dansco or I would fill the rest of my Choice-Gem BU Franklin book

I would push the rules and get 1 "set", the 2006 20th Anniversay Silver Eagle Set, or to stay in the rules, a graded 2006 Reverse Proof SAE...

I think I would buy a high grade 1914-D Cent. It probably would be that high a grade for that money, but it would replace the hole filler I have now. seems like that year is in high demand.

There's so much that I want that could fill the $500 dollar area that the list is too long. I would probably buy something that is currently holding my attention a rarer Shield nickel or 3CN and/or maybe some Jefferson nickels.
