Kaboel,
I used to work at a bank. And we would get these halves from a guy reboxed. Funny think is Garda would truck them from us to another bank...which happened to be his pick up bank and he just got his own stuff all over. We laughed about it

To help pass the time on the nights that I have trouble sleeping. So far I've found enough copper to fill 24 penny boxes. I've had a few nights where I've had trouble getting to sleep.

I will not purchase any of the recent NIFC coins from the mint and enjoy searching for them to fill spots in my albums. The fact that I may find some silver while doing this is a bonus.
It's more the thrill of the hunt than anything for me.

I really don't hunt but once in awhile I'll grab a roll of change from the bank and see what I get. The act of searching reminds me of good times in my childhood like going through old baseball cards. Observing the details of finds makes me a more informed collector.

The thrill of the treasure hunt ... never sure what is in the next roll and the anticipation of a great find. If the markup wasn't as high as it was, I could consider buying them, and then turning them loose, but there's something to be said about scoring one on your own.....and at face value. |

A) There's stuff out there to find. It's not hard to do. Why not try?
B) Anyone willing to pony up the money to buy all their coins can have them for basically no effort at all. My resources are limited in the money department, so I've got to ramp up the effort part!

I figure that the cent will be gone one day , sooner than later. so I look at it as owning collectors items and pieces of history.

I never know what to expect from the next rol; something lbum worthy, something old, something silver, something foreign, I dont know until I tear that roll open and am satisfied only when I'm done with the box (or boxES  ) |

It's awesome I feel like every roll is a scratch off ticket except I get money back every time and rewards are endless

Which two do you need? It must be a little frustrating to come so close and know you could finish the set by spending a few bucks, but then it would almost be worth less than if you found them.
I hope you get the last two! You're close and that's so impressive.

I hunt to save any collectible coins from the fate of further circulation! I found a 39 double Montiecello Nickel on Friday, and it cost me 5 cents..
