Looks like it was made first in wax with a CNC machine. The raster lines all over the place and the fake die trails. Would love to see the edges to see how they dealt with the sprue. It appears to be a high quality casting. Cleaning and hairlines like that would not improve the luster. The denticles are way too perfect.

He 'whizzed' that coin thinking he could simulate luster to make it look UNC. Coin is clearly only AU. Not sure what happened in the left obverse field, looks like he didn't keep the wire brush level while he whizzed it. Still, the coin is probably worth $100 to the right buyer.

This is a serious seller. The title and the description say choice because the seller chose this coin to clean it.

Maybe I'm missing something. What is the consensus, is it cleaned but genuine or fake ?

I am guessing fake. The top star behind Liberty's head looks strange, and Liberty's face looks off

Yes, that looks like my VF Barber quarter that came with a lot marked "problems". Obviously cleaned. I used a toothpick to see if I could get this gunk of and left little scratches in a spot, big mistake but already cleaned anyhow. The lot it came with though had a CC Seated quarter that just had a very low grade reverse.

Hmmm, still seems like it is not clear. If it is real and cleaned it still has some value. If it is fake then it has no value.
