Quote: Buy a $500 coin that you have always wanted but told yourself you could never afford. I agree. Or, maybe a $400 coin and spend the remaining $100 on a few more affordable coins.

I didnt read all the comments. But seeing as silver and gold will always have value, I would invest in that.

If you don't want to drop it all on one coin, you could chase something like a Redfield and a GSA, two of the largest and most interesting hoards of Morgans ever. This one is $370... Bet the seller would take $350 if you messaged them an offer; http://www.ebay.com/itm/331305767886Then since your original budget was $600, I'm going to take the liberty of spending that extra $100 for you, and cashing in your change for an extra $30 and buy this one for $280; http://www.ebay.com/itm/390917479566EDIT: I have no connections to either seller, just to be clear. Two nice coins I picked out, nothing more.

You know, I really can't disagree with what you chose to do. Perhaps you made a salad where I'd have made a steak, but it's a nice salad.

I could flip those for $19 easily. I'd be all over that. Just make sure there aren't fakes in there, I had a guy offer me 65 morgans for $17 each last month and ~25 weren't real. When I pointed that out and adjusted my offer to reflect that, he walked... he was definitely trying to pull a fast one. If he paid 20 each for the real ones and a buck each for the counterfeits...
$20*40=$800 $1*25= $25 Total = $825 My offer; $17*65=$1105 His profit if I wasn't careful; $1105-$825=$280, or 34% return.

I'd just go to a gas station and get a fill up. Now no more problems with extra cash.

Or buy a tank of gas, use it to go to a coin show you wouldn't normally go to, and see if you can find something there that really excites you.

you could sort of do both bullion and classic at the same time....get a really nice Walking Liberty half dollar. Has the same obverse image as bullion silver but classic coin at heart.

I think I'm gonna spead it out. I just bought a 1840 o Seated quarter (will grade xf maybe..), a 1931s lincoln AU50 PCGS, and a really nice 1852 trime( high vf, maybe 40) and I'm still shopping. Drooling over a 10oz silver bar for $220.... Or a toned 83cc GSA Morsan M63, and a raw 1814 LC that is gorgeous..I will post all the coins on 1 topic in grading when I'm done. Keep the suggestions coming!!

Buy some cool copper with what's left over. It sounds like you're into the Classic Head large cents.
