I haven't really had a long silverless box streak - maybe two boxes at most... but I also haven't hit a motherlode... my most silver ever in a box of halves is 6 coins... it's more like a steady drip out here... 1-2 in most of my boxes, with the occasional one with more and the occasional skunk.

had a 9 box skunk streak on dimes last year and the year before.
for halves, 14 boxes, and 13, and so on. didnt really know until this thread made me look.

My highest rate for skunks is 3 in one week . I also shot 2 Rabbits that same week and 6 squirrels . I tell ya , those little critters are hard to hit with my Bow .  |

Sorry - currently just finished the last of 14 $500 boxes of halves without silver. I just read about the guy that had 64...

Make that 16 boxes of halves. However, the streak was broken by a box that had 17 silver coins, a couple of proofs, and a gold plated 1980...
That's more like it...

This thread jinxed me. I'm half way through a $25 penny box. I've found a well worn 1944 Wheatback, two scratched Canadians, and four 2009 Lincoln cents. Grrrr!
