I admit I was going to try lure him out with some sweet talk on October 12th - kcoin, Kmoney, Hill coin-efficient, coin-o-tope effect etc.

Sorry for the delay, my wife has been recovering from minor surgery since Friday so my free time has been nonexistant the past few days. All four packages were dropped in the mail this morning and hopefully they will all arrive at their destinations by this weekend.
I hope you all enjoy!

I had a nice package when I arrived home tonight.

Thank you very much, Biokemist, it is a very generous prize. The notes are wonderful, and as I am a huge Cardinal fan, anything from St Louis is great.
I do have a question about the sales tax token, never having seen one, what is it, do, or did merchants give them out to prove they collected sales tax
Thank you again

I am glad you liked the package. I wanted to get some ECs from Busch Stadium but I was not able to do that in time. I will keep you in mind cpfull next time I can get some of those though The tax tokens date back to the 1930s and were used as change for fractional sales tax rates. That particular token is made of zinc and is a 1 mill token (1/10 cent). A number of states had a token system such as this, here is a link with a bit more history- http://users.pullman.com/fjstevens/...taxinfo.html

I was just about to ask about the token.

Got my stuff yesterday, thanks dude! MS-quality $1 silver note 1957, and a 1976 $2 (first year of current design, I think) with St. Louis post office stamp, a Missouri tax token, and 3 ECs. I actually haven't heard the term EC - what is that? One of them still has a good image of Lincoln, and I can read the date, 1971.

EC is shorthand for elongated cent. Here is a website if you want to check out any machines in your area http://www.pennycollector.com/AreaList.aspx. I try to roll all of mine on pre-1982 cents so there is no zinc bleed. The duece was postmarked April 13, 1976 which was the first day of release for the new(and current) $2 bill design.

I got my stuff last week. The Peace dollar of course and the bonus items were a $1 and $5 silver certificates both in unc. condition and some elongated cents and a couple of tokens. This is only my second Peace dollar and the silver certificates are the only ones I have. Thanks A Bunch Bob.

Not a problem, I am glad you all enjoyed What goes better with a silver dollar than some silver certificates! I tried to come up some unique items that alot of people might not have seen before with the sales tax tokens, ECs, and stamp-cancelled $2 bills.

Dewayne, you got the Jesse James token, correct? That came from a token machine inside of Meramec Caverns where the atmosphere is a cool, constantly humid and mineral rich environment. I think that might be what caused the wild toning
Jesse James used Meramec Caverns as a hideout during his Quantrill's Raiders days of the Civil War and then during the bank/train robbing days afterwards.
