Looks good from here and has a nice tone. However, if you want to be sure and learn more about early US dollars compare your example with those here:

A number of different varieties where struck in each year the Draped Bust dollar was struck.

It looks good to me. This coin is very expensive so it should be authenticated. You will get more money for it that way if you choose to sell it.

This looks like a normal close date to me, is that correct? I will try to find a protective case for it 😀

99.999% sure it's the real deal.

Very nice coin, very clean with no adjustment marks.

Needs to be third party graded for maximum value for selling.

As others have said....do not clean it to try and make it look better.

I have no doubts that's it's genuine. I'd send it to PCGS.

It looks a lot better than the one my buddy bought last year....

I knew right away it couldn't be ok. My buddy, however, thought he scored big (for around 4 hours).

Unless you plan to sell I don't see any reason to spend the time & money to send it to a grading company.

to the forum!

A very nice coin and one of the better finds I've seen on this forum lately. I'd grade it low VF and it has great eye appeal. Exactly what a experienced collector would want.

Keeping or selling I would get it graded. A small investment compared to the value plus if you do ever need to sell in the future it will be much easier and profitable to do so plus you'll know for sure (or as close as possible) what you have.

Looks genuine to me. It is exactly the patina I look for in draped bust halves. Send it to PCGS and get it graded. A serious draped bust dollar nut will want it.

I am not a fan of slabbed coins. Nevertheless,
this one should be slabbed.
