This is my favorite. It looks like Byzantine coin with cross. Its 0,8mm and 0,39gr.

Panjabi - I don't want to sound 'disbelieving', but that coin looks a whole lot bigger than 0.8 mm to me.

Perhaps you mean 0.8 cm? That would sound closer to the mark. (I do apologise if I am wrong.)

Also, at 0.8 mm I would expect the weight to be less than 0.39 gm, and more like 0.0039 gm.

A.M. My hat is off to you, and I bow to your (superior) knowledge, once again.

You stated that:-

Quote:
The only coin I can think of TC that might be smaller would be an Indian gold fanam .

and here is my 1/4 Fanam that arrived today, somewhat delayed because of the 'festive season' increase in postal items.

I have photographed it alongside the same 1883 Morgan dollar.

You were absolutely right.

I wonder, does anyone have a smaller coin?

Not bad for a hormonal teenager I was going to get one at one time but decided against it on the grounds that I would lose it after 10 minutes.

Satraps of Caria, Hemiobol.

Not as small as some of yours, but its my smallest. I particularly love the design.

Yep 3 bulls! The design also pops out significantly more than the picture shows. The picture makes it look really flat, but in reality it is quite elevated proportionally.

Areal. That is one cool coin. I never tire of looking at it.

None of my Hemiobols match it.

Do I read that correctly? Only $7.50 for an 1882 Morgan dollar? I'll take 10 at that price? Where do you shop?
