I don't really know, but I've also put back a lot when I didn't want them anymore (I used to keep the non-caribou Canadian quarters but I've put back a lot since I learnt there's nothing special about them). I also keep nice old bills and fancy serials I come across. As of now, perhaps about $50 in coins and $150 in bills. I have many more coins than bills but bills have a big face value!

I have a lot of coins I need to sort through. It would be interesting to take all the stuff I don't need/want to the bank and see how much in coins I had.

I would guess I have around $100 or so. Nothing I have found in circulation has been worth much more than face, but I keep what I like.

A 1963A 100$ star note really brings up the total!

Assuming it's only coins and not paper money, maybe 2000-3000 rubles (about $50 by modern exchange rates). A good fraction of that is in huge bags of 10 kopek coins I bought to check for early dates... now I have a full set of non-pattern dates and several thousand 10 kopek coins I don't know what to do with (I suppose I could cash them out at the bank, but they take a flat rate plus 3% commission that comes out to about 20% even if I take all my bags at once - if I try to cash them out individually I'd end up having to pay extra money).

I'm on the penny budget with occasional nickel spree...but I would guess over 150 or more. I fell in love with Lincoln ! Forget the flowers, buy me a couple rolls of pennies and it's all good...pennies last forever !

Being a "seasoned" collector I have many of my examples plucked from circulation. many of my Franklin halves were obtained this way as well as hundreds of dollars of silver coin snatched from my cash registrars.

Possibly a million dollars. However, also put about that much back.

The face value of my collection is very minor compared to the face value of coins I've pulled from circulation just in my change jars. The face value of the collection is probably $200 or less while I have probably a couple thousand in change jars and cans etc. (And remember your annual per capita share of the entire coin production of the US Mint is <50 coins.)

I have pulled out $600 worth in the last 5 and a half months. This includes the America the Beautiful Quarter rolls from the U.S. Mint, but also dozens of rolls of pennies and dimes that are 2014 OBW.

I haven't totaled it up, but a rough estimate is in the area of $250+ in coins and double that for bills, in the last three years.
