Very nice set Silverdon, how was all that snow out in your area. I bought this set this last weekend at a small local coin show, not my birth year but I couldn't resist at 3$.

It's an icy mess down here in NS but Saint John NB is under a couple meters of snow, no where to put it. You get the rare 1970 5 cent coin in that lot and the 50 cent coin, no Silver dollar that year, can't go wrong for $3.

I was lucky , it was a local CS owner I had bought off before. It was marked 3.50 and he said it was his last one and I could have it for 3$, with card and envelope....timing. Over all not a bad show, I got these too. Spent 11$ the whole day.

A silver quarter, specimen cents, some older small cents and an uncirculated set for $11. You did very well.

Thank you, I kinda like to drive a hard bargain. I hunt hard for a deal. I don't like spending alot. Aren't we all like that!

Bought this in 1998 from Canadian Coin & Currency for $20. This was early in my collecting coins life. Those coins are all uncirculated, between MS62 to MS65. (The penny is behind the presentation)

I have been having a difficult time finding coins from 1935 and 1942, even circulated ones.

Legouge, that looks like a Steve Bromberg original. Love it for the kitschiness and cold war facts, and ancient history like Leafs winning the Cup.

@SilverDon, Steve's the one who got me hooked coin collecting at the time, on the Shopping Channel. I found his shows informative and he has this "je ne sais quoi" that captivates and makes you want to buy.

I gotta admit to buying a few blockbuster deals in my day, bagged a 2006 P penny in a set that way.

My Mrs. was born in Quebec, which I didn't account for when I promised her a birth year set. Had no idea there was a gold coin from that year!
