Mr. Click Quote: I was mostly joking as 1 week really isn't that long, but man I'm hoping for a Christmas bag or two!! Really hope you get a visit from Santa My best hope is my Credit Union will cough up some IKEs that were cashed in for buying seasonal stuff. About 2 years ago I was hitting individual banks etc., and getting a single or up to a dozen at a time. Now I have horrible back pain, and those car diesel burning days are gone. My pitiful situation is I can drive to (any) place I KNOW there is a coin or coins.

Got lucky today I when by to see my CU (manager) friend, but she was busy with a client. Then I went home and emailed her. She shot back a short email, then 4 minutes later with another email. Told me to go to another branch to get 120 IKEs Burning rubber and diesel down highway I-169 they had 118 IKEs for me. Can't remember who brought up the subject of half dollars ... any way she had about 500 coins. Having only a small amount of extra $$$$ I said I would take all the remaining $32 in halfs. Naturally no sliver (halfs) but still nice. From this source add 118 today to the 452 bringing the Credit Union total to 570 IKEs. Average coins per day about 1.48 IKEs

Domain555, THat is awesome! No luck on getting anymore bags of Ikes? It's been 3 months since my last bag and I'm starting to get the shakes. Addiction is tough.

Mr. Click
On BAGs all I have now is hope. This Credit Union is the only thing working now. And it is slow at best ... but better than nothing. Now averaging less than 1.5 IKEs per day
The really good issue with her is that most of the coins average much much better than circulated.
Out of this 118 coins all are keepers except 2-3 coins
Have not yet gone through the coins but did check for silver ~`~` none.
As I DO get new coins prefer (P) mint rather than (D) mint.

UP-DATE After going through the 118 IKEs I want to down grade the general overall condition, of said coins. Last night I was comparing my (new) 1974 -- 1977 -- 1978 coins to the ones I already had. The new ones just do not measure up in general over all quality. Regarding the 1971 -- 1972 coins, I really just do not care one way or another. And do not want to spend the time-energy to do the job. There was three 1976 (D) (P) peg legs ~`~` but not in MS condition. Maybe a strong AU condition. I guess my mode of collecting is evolving to and fro ~`~` from hoarding quantity ~`~` to up grading ~`~` and to even (start) selling again, some of the STUFF for a profit. If it is even still possible. From only a feeble memory in the last 15--20 months, I did sell about 20 IKEs for about $200 (net-net) The net profit was satisfying and mostly a TEST of the ebay market. If I really ever do need cash, I personally consider (RAW) IKEs as a cash crop. Mostly in the ERROR, LOW BALL or PEG LEG variety. Wish it was cheap to do TPGing. But that cost is prohibitive ~`~` me thinks. Will try to get a PIC of the coins ~`~` my camera is giving me fits right now.
