I like the S coins. What I don't like is that they started it in the middle of the series. Makes it very confusing.

I wish there was an album to put them in. I guess a blank album will be the only way to do this. No one wants to step up to make one

With the way the mint releases their products, I am sure no
album manufacture would want to add the "S" mint coins just yet. What if the mint made some other changes to what they are putting out. My guess is that after the ATB series is complete we may see some changes to the quarter album.

For right now I use the Dansco 2010 - 2021 date set album.
It has one slot for each ATB Quarter. What I did for 2010
quarters was put a set of silver proofs, for 2011 quarters
I put a set of 2011 clad proofs. I am thinking of swapping out the clads for another set of silver proofs.

When complete the album will be complete with "S" mint quarters. 2012 - 2021 will have business strike coins.

That looks great GR58. I have mine in a blank quarter album with the 2005-2010 satin quarters.

A logical decision.

Oh right, as said before, to fleece us collectors.

Again, really? Fleecing would indicate something is being done illegally to steal money from someone. Making a product and offering it for sale is NOT that. It is not any of the negative descriptions people keep bantying about. You do NOT have to purchase the products if you dont want them.

As for the album pages. I dont think it would be too difficult for Dansco to make add on pages solely for the S coins. If I were to jab anyone, it would be Dansco and Whitman for reacting like slugs to their market.

Maybe they'll do the new 7070 at the same time. When is that 2021?

I like using proofs for the single-coin-for-the-year ATB album. Shows off the coins nicely!

Here's to hoping for addendum pages to account for the business strike S's. Of course, mine are in a Littleton album - I don't know WHAT I was thinking, all my other albums are Danscos - so hopefully Littleton, too, may make an add-on page.

As others have said, my only 'problem' with the circulation-finish "S" ATB Quarters is that they didn't start in 2010.

Date-only albums, such as GR58 used, are a great solution. I have the 1999-2009 Clad Proof Quarters in a Dansco 7146, and I might do what GR58 did, for the "S" ATB's. I also have several Whitman lenses filled with the 2012-S circulation finish Quarters, to somewhat fit in with my OGP coins.

Exactly, dedicated pages for the 2012 to 2021 "S" Quarters.

Especially when you try to turn the pages and have to do that crazy up, over, around, sideways , and down thing.

Yeah, that part does suck. I mean I get that their thinking was to do it one year for the anniversary, and it was supposed to be just that, but argh! LOL It would be kind of nice if they made it so they could go back and shoot out a quick million or so of each 10 and 11.

I understand that .......

Let's play what if ...

What if they made they made the 2012 - 2012 "S" page
and the mint stops making the "S" business strikes
before 2021.

What if they decide to also make "W" mint business strikes
in addition to what they are making now.

What if there was any sort of changes to what they are
already making.

Down side a lot of customers could be mad, that they purchased a product that is no longer what they want.

Coin collecting is all about patience. For me I want it,
but I want it right. So I am willing to wait.

As for Dansco .... hard to figure out what is going on there. At this point I wonder if they may be wanting to
split off the coin album section ... maybe sell it to
Whitman .....I have seen it with other companies. They sell
off parts of their companies that are making money, but have no real growth.

Sounds like the solution to both of those problems is to by a new (updated) Dansco when the ATB series ends.

I think I may have mentioned that once or twice.

Ideally they sell the rights to Whitman. Let Whitman handle the design, marketing, and distribution. Dansco can do what it does best, make albums.

Or possibly 2032, the Sec of the Treasury has the option to do a second round of parks.
