Tamaska is the one on Channel 222.

He's not too bad, pretty informative on how proof's are made etc.

Are you guys sure these are the channels for DirecTv? I've only seen the shows on channel 95 and 224.
You are not talking about DISHTV are you?
Channel 222 is the SAVE channel
Channel 223 is the Celebrity Shopping channel
Channel 227 is the PAID channel
Channel 324 is the America's Auction channel ( I could see this channel having coins on it for DirecTv )

On DirecTv channel 95 has the Art and Coin show
On DirecTv channel 224 has the Coin Vault show

@John1 - how do you search for "coins" on DirecTv?

I saw the one on Home Shopping Network a few days ago. Even though I won't ever buy anything from the guy, I still end up watching it every time.

It always gets me mad when he lists things at super-high prices but still sells them every show. For instance, he was selling single 2014 Kennedy silver coins for $80 each, when they are still available from the US Mint at $99.95 for the set of four. He sold hundreds of each (and made thousands of dollars in profit) in around 20 minutes. I wish I had easy income like that! I also don't know why getting paperwork that states that the coin you buy is an 'authentic' purchase from HSN! ?

Anyway, like I said, I still watch it every time I can. Right now I've got to take my meds! Bye!!

I can take these shows in small doses. It doesn't bother me at all to hear some of the things they're saying. They are not appealing to coin collectors. These guys are selling to people who like and appreciate coins, but don't invest a lot of time gaining knowledge. Nothing wrong with that, but it does make you think of the possibilities. With all the variety of shows out there, it would be VERY interesting to have one about Numismatics... I think something like Pawn Stars, but with coin dealers/coin shops dealing with the business and true passion of coin collecting.

Much easier to watch if you have a DVR and can fast forward.

This is not an endorsement. Rick Tamaska puts on a good show. I've seen CBHs and other coins not usually hawked by the others, overpriced but not ridiculously high. Interesting.

I've bought a few things from Rick Tamaska and he doesn't sell junk a little pricy but you do get quality coins, but I haven't seen him lately. I have bought a few things that interested me but only on rare occasions from TV but rarely and always remember you will pay top dollar. I love when they quote the price of silver...never current...Barry Chappel is good one for that but I love to listen to his ramblings very entertaining for sure.

I love Coin Vault, though since the one guy (I am brain farting on his name) died, it hasnt been the same. I have purchased from Coin Vault before. Yes, they are a bit over value on some things. BUT, you are paying for convenience. Same as you pay more in 7-11 for milk. The stuff I have picked up was either a good price, or something I had a hard time finding or just plain did not feel like looking elsewhere. Never been disatisfied with a purchase from them.

Tomaska used to be on the show with Don and Barry (Art and Coin TV) but has his own now. Havent seen the new show yet, but I liked watching him on ACTV. Barry is a smart guy, knows economics but is a used car salesman and gets annoying. Don isn't bad, but can get to the annoying stage as well.

I cant remember the name of the one on Wed, but the two guys are hicks and are entertaining. I have purchased bullion from them.

HSN. Those guys are hucksters. They dont lie, but man they embelish and are high priced.

Just search coins on DirecTV and you will come up with a bunch of them.

I remember when Tomaska asserted that an NGC PF CAM with a Star (*) means it is only CAM on one side.
Such a blatant lie. He has no credibility as far as I am concerned after that. He should know better than to make such a statement and ruin his credibility.

I do have his books. They are OK.

This all makes me happy I only have an antenna. I get abaout 80 channels and only that stupid HSN is one of them. The money I save not having cable or a dish, I use for coins. Stop and add up how much you spend on a cable or dish, then imagine how many coins you could have instead.

Is it DSTV (Diamond Shopping TV) with John Binns, Steve Parker and Gary McTague?

I believe John Binns is the one who always wears the funky hats. I remember he was on a different tv show with another guy on a different channel before the DSTV gig.
