So, after all the comments on here, my husband decided to take it to a coin dealer today to see what they would offer for a price. They told him it was defaced and not an error coin, so it was worth nothing.  But since there were so many parties on here that have said it was a nice find, I have a hard time believing the employee.

That is an awesome error coin and they don't know what they're talking about..nice find. If you don't believe us check on ebay and see what such errors are selling for.
