Sorry, but the Torex show typically stinks year after year.
There just seems to be a 'deadness' in the atmosphere.
Very few people at 10am this morning...just a terrible turnout.

I thought about staying over from the Legacy Auction for Saturday at TOREX, but it was Valentine's Day. Best to get home.

dollarman, these is a show in Mississauga coming up in March. Are you attending and have you gone before?
I think I still remember that area, used to take the number 19 bus on Hurontario to Square One with friends, and the number 1 across Dundas to the TTC when going to downtown.

I might go Saturday afternoon. I live over an hour away but I can say the transport options are good (even though there's over half an hour between the buses if I miss it).

Poor Torex....even a post about Torex dies and gets diverted into something else.

Doubleagle I am truly stunned at how poor of a show Torex has become. Maybe it was the awful weather, everyone was Landoned out or just plain tapped out what with the auction action. Sure glad I did not come just for Torex. If I want a dismal coin show just have to do the Vancouver shows. I will just have to take SPP s advice and show up for Coin Expo then. One thing for sure it was good to hook up with some forum members for a few beers over the past 5 days and to meet some of my clients in the flesh, and share a few giggles with some of my professional colleagues. All in all a great trip with the added success at the auctions.

To be fair, I got the brochure for the show at Torex.
Sunday was pretty cold with crazy wind, that was the coldest for the time I've been in Canada.
I don't think I met anyone from the CCF there (except for the man who owns Toronto Coin Expo). I don't recognise anyone but I'm wearing a red and white pin so if you see me please greet me!

PaCoin....last summer was the first time I went to the Toronto Coin Expo show.
For some reason, I always skipped this show in the past.
NEVER more!!
It was a great show and the atmosphere was alive and exciting.
Everyone should try their best to attend this show.
Torex used to be the best, but it's dying a slow death and its website isn't doing so good either.
I think at last check it had 2 members who post.

The Mississauga show is tomorrow. For anyone who's attending, see you there! I'll be wearing a red coat. I'll have a red and white pin on my t-shirt... I just realised it's the upside-down of a Polish flag.
