Quote: I see you have added another Prestige set Yes ... when I looked at the stack I had from a week or so ago, I saw I did not have a 1986 .. so had to pick that one up. Makes my Prestige stack 86 - 93. I have cracked Prestige sets in the past. I am starting to hold on to some sets. They are cool .. but not really sure why I have them .. they take up a lot of space. Quote: Keep on going; every set you crack makes the rest more valuable If no one cracks these .. then they might never go up in value. Most of these greysheet right above face.

The last auction I was bidding in.. there was 3600 large pennies... unfortunately I was slightly outbid... but I figured they would've had to double bag that lot.. I didn't even need any of the dates... just wanted to practice making love tokens... so.. I understand ya! To the Nth degree

Funny thing for me, what I am buying has a lot to do with what coins and currency are coming into the LCS's in my area. I might be buying modern one week and ancients the next.

Going at this rate you're going to need to be thinking about an addition to your home! Is that a Franklin Proof Set on the bottom right of the 2nd picture. I have a bit of an issue with hoarding those too when I see then for a reasonable price.

Quote: Is that a Franklin Proof Set on the bottom right of the 2nd picture. Good eyes you have there ... Those are two 1963 sets. I was breaking a lot of the Franklin sets, but stopped breaking them, starting to get a nice stack of pre 64's. Seems like I am keeping them, if the OGP is in good shape. So not sure how long those two will make it. I have a nice 2X2 box filling up with silver proof half dollars .. again not sure why. I guess I just want to accumulate as much as I can, and figure out what to do with them later.

No need to double bag that few coins. You are supposed to take the black recycle bag that you got from the US Mint some time back.
It has great big letters on it saying U S MINT.
It is just perfect for carrying you valuable coins through parking lots.

thetracer, when I walk in a place as safe as parking lot or shady ally way with my coins I prefer to use a big bag with a dollar sign on it
Feel free to call me Will.

Nice finds! Still waiting to find a horde, myself. I'd say, any set you can get at a cheap price, get it!

Yea, man I still got mine in its original Mint black rubber band. I am afraid to use it in public. Ah, maybe to wrap some other OGP in to keep the dust out, eh?

I would use it at a coin show, maybe. But at the mall or a flea market, no way.
