EZ 64RD, the obverse fields hold it back.

There is just TOO much wear and tear to be an MS-64!

Ok. look. This coin can NOT be MS64. It looks like it took a mineral water bath too. But look at all of these contact marks and wear!!!

IMO, the whole purpose of these grading threads is to give our opinions, and to practice grading, and to have fun. I never claim to be right or wrong on any of them. Grading is subjective....I think I've seen that on an ebay listing or two

No worries Silverstacker... The whole point of the thread was to get folks opinions and I certainly appreciate yours.

You have MUCH to learn. This coin has NO WEAR, otherwise it would be AU. Some of the areas you circled are due to strike and nothing more, for example, the O in ONE.

I suggest you spend time on ha.com looking at slabbed coins. Maybe then you can understand what an MS-62 Wheat cent looks like....nothing like this coin.

It has wear. It has many contact marks. Yes some of them are from the strike but most are not. The O in One. THat brings it down even if it was caused by the strike. You know weak and bad strikes bring down grades?

I do and changed my mind to ms63. look at the comments.
I do have much to learn but I am correct.

64 Red IMHO. Quick search and you can find many much less appealing in 65 TPG holders (matters not), doesn't get there for me, but I can't see a 63. Nice coin.
