Awesome video as always and congrats on the final price... Nice guns too... Don't apologize for being a "little dramatic"... Safety and security is YOUR responsibility and I don't blame you one bit for packing while carrying something that valuable around... I would have too...

Awesome video! It really makes me want to keep digging. I know some people are leery about weapons, and that's their right, I suppose. As for me, I grew up in a military family in a small town, and firearms have always been a fact of life. I'm sure 90% of the pawnshops and LCS's I go to have someone armed on the premises. Personally, my favorite PM besides silver and gold is probably lead.

I am not a quarter collector but loved the story and video. Congrats on the find and making another's coin collection expand.

DrTomes:
Glad you were pleased with the results. Getting the find out there for collectors to see it, discuss it, and share your excitement, was an experience.
My original statements on the 1st Thread still hold water. I had hoped that your find would have been better received by Heritage. Based on what you said, I too would have been insulted and as a result, you decided to sell through a smaller auction house.
Your story has been one of the most interesting reads on this or any other U.S. Coin Forum in recent memory. Ranks right up there with my locating an 1892-Micro O Half in AU condition - "cleaned" and retoned.
Best regards, Mike Hayes

UPDATE!
Looks like this little MD find finally found it's way to Heritage in August of 2018. Surprisingly, it had not been cracked out, conserved and/or repaired.
It only brought 5280$ .... including the juice .... at auction. I doubt if it would bring even that much in today's Covid world.

I had forgotten about this but I remember watching the auction process/video journal, amazing production value and amazing story.
