"Silver" Nickel Dollars

The bidder that bid on that mess has only (1) bid in his feedback so, I presume he/she doesn't know the difference.

Guys I have to disagree with you as much as we all here know these have no silver content, they are still 100% correctly identified as a "Silver" Dollar. the seller has not made any mention to silver content whatsoever.

I see people everyday on craigslist trying to sell post 68 dollars for $5 to $10 each.

The bidder should have done a bit of research, or perhaps he really wants one or more of these coins.

Hey Guys I also notified the seller and got the same response , Newby seller as well here , I think this was an honest mistake.

You know these are not Silver , they are Nickle. Your auction is misleading and being discussed in a forum. As a new seller on ebay you might want to consider a correction to your auction

Thank you for informing me. I have added a note already to the ad and posted an email from another buyer saying the coins are not silver. Since there is less than 12 hours left in the auction I cannot cancel it nor make revisions. I will reimburse the highest bidder if they do not want the coins. Thank you again and I am very sorry.

Ace: I actually believe that calling these silver dollars is quite misleading... and shouldn't be used in the title or description... dollar coins or nickel dollars would be a lot more appropriate.

While these dollars may have been refered to as "silver dollars" as they once were silver dollars.. prior to '67.. they should be sold and described properly .... good job everyone!

The term "Silver dollar" refers to all of the Voyager series of dollars and has always been called this. just like the new dollar coin is called the Loonie. even though there are Loonies with no loons on them, they are still called loonies correct?

I am glad that the seller is responsive to the request, and who knows if he will actually go through with it, but is there zero responsibility to the bidder to actually be bidding on something he knows nothing about?

In 1977 they modified the reverse so that the design and wording was smaller. They also replaced the rim denticles with beads. This is probably why it looks different.

The seller also says it's for a lot of 11 silver dollars. In the item description it says a lot of 20 silver dollars. Seller needs to get his facts correct about what he selling.
